Regional Steering Group

SW Regional Special Needs and Disability Conference

The SW Regional Special Needs and Disability Conference meets every term. It is a forum for those involved in the strategic management of special educational needs across the region to find out about and contribute to national developments in SEN and social inclusion, share practice and support self-evaluation.

Membership includes the Senior Officer responsible for SEN, SEN Adviser and Principal Educational Psychologist for each south west LEA. The Regional Partnership Facilitators attend the SW Regional SEN Conference, which has 5 representatives on the Regional Partnership Steering Group.

SW Interagency Advisory Group

The Interagency Advisory Group has been set up to ensure that the work of the Regional Partnership engages with, and is supported by, a wide range of organisations in addition to Local Education Authorities. It includes representatives nominated by:

The Interagency Advisory Group meets annually with the Regional Steering Group. At this meeting 2 members of IAG are nominated to serve on Regional Steering Group. Otherwise the group function as a 'virtual group' through email etc. Where invited the regional facilitators will provide input to meetings of the organisations represented on the Inter-agency Advisory Group, e.g. attending all meetings of the Regional Parent Partnership Network
