Action Plan
The South West Regional Partnership Steering Group is responsible for the 2 Year Strategic Plan and the Annual Action Plan, which is approved by the Department for Children, Schools and Families [formerly known as the DfES].
Since April 2001 all the Regional Partnerships work within a strategic framework determined by the DCSF. A significant proportion of the Partnership's time is given to:
- Developing more inclusive policies and practice
- Improving the efficiency and effectiveness of SEN processes and services
- Responding to, and engaging effectively with, Government initiatives
- Improving interagency working
The South West Partnership Strategic Plan was drawn up in consultation with a wide range of stakeholders. The plan sets out the main aims and objectives and the management arrangements for the Partnership. Each major area of work is led by a Task Group, which has responsibility for implementing its Annual Action Plan.
