About the Partnership

The South West Regional Partnership is one of 9 Regional Partnerships sponsored by the Department for Children, Schools and Families [formerly known as the DfES]. The aim of the Partnerships is to promote inclusion and positive outcomes for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities and looked after children.

A multi-disciplinary Steering Group draws up a Strategic Plan that identifies objectives, the intended benefits and the associated activities. Progress is regularly reported to the Steering Group and to the DCSF, and is also published on this website.
